Football

In football, there is a great emphasis on skill development across the year groups as boys. Learning to play for the team, competing with effort and supporting each other at all times is crucial as we strive collectively to be successful.

Football is played during Terms 2 and 3. Boys train and play at Mt Claremont Playing Fields with away fixtures at other school venues. The First XVIII competes in the Alcock Cup competition.

Christ Church has a highly experienced and passionate team of coaches including Dec Cormack, Mark Stone, Will Michell, Ben Caputi, Alex Witherden and Brad Gardner.

Preseason for the 1st XVIII runs every year in the April school holidays. Football is also played in the annual House Winter Sports Carnival where boys from Years 7 to 12 have a chance to compete for their house.
