Last Friday six enterprising Christ Church students boys took part in the Purposeful Pedagogies Project.

Organised by the Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia (AISWA), the Purposeful Pedagogies Project invited selected schools to explore how project-based learning can stretch their thinking.

The boys were responsible for representing the Year 5/6 cohort who completed a Design Thinking project to explore the big question of: “How might books and art connect us to the Global Goals?”

Our boys worked at the marketplace stand to educate the conference delegates about their project and field questions on how the project unfolded. The boys also showed visitors their completed digital product. The boys then had the opportunity to present their work in the State Library Lecture Theatre where they explained to the audience how the process of inquiry worked in the classroom.
