Year 6 Market Day brings business learning to life
Published on: 17 September 2025
The campus was buzzing with excitement yesterday as the Year 6 cohort hosted Market Day, the significant event of their Endeavour Project.
In the weeks leading up to Market Day, the students became young entrepreneurs, forming mini companies and developing unique products to design, produce, and sell. They conducted market research at Claremont Quarter, ran surveys to gauge demand, sketched prototypes, sourced materials, created advertising, and documented the entire process in digital portfolios.
On Market Day, Manjar Square came alive as a bustling marketplace. The students arranged themed stalls and confidently sold their products to students, parents and staff. Throughout the day, their creativity, teamwork, and business skills were on full display.
All profits will be donated to two charities chosen by the students: The Cancer Council and The Orangutan Project.
“Market Day is more than just selling a product, it’s about fostering empathy, resilience, and teamwork,” said Year 6 teacher Fiona Telfer.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to see the boys take ownership of their learning and realise that their efforts can make a real difference.” she added.
A huge congratulations to all our Year 6 students for their innovation and hard work, and thank you to the school community for your wonderful support.
