Matthew Carulli Memorial Scholarship

Christ Church Grammar School is pleased to invite applications for the Matthew Carulli Memorial Scholarship which is offered to a boy who would not otherwise be able to attend the School without financial support and will be entering Year 7 in 2027.

The Scholarship will be awarded to a boy of general excellence who would not otherwise be able to attend Christ Church without the financial assistance of this Scholarship. The recipient will demonstrate the characteristics that Matthew exemplified – high academic standing, courage, tenacity, good humour and kindness. He will demonstrate an appropriate balance of humility, confidence and empathy and be a boy whose aspiration for excellence is reflected in his approach to life both within and beyond school.

The Matthew Carulli Memorial Scholarship is for 100% tuition fees for the duration of the boy’s education at Christ Church. Boarding fees are not discounted.

It is not necessary for your son to sit an examination for this Scholarship.

Application requirements

  • Handwritten letter by the applicant to the Principal, outlining their strengths and why they would like to become part of the Christ Church community
  • The student’s two most recent school reports and NAPLAN results for Years 3 and 5
  • Any specialist reports, such as speech therapist, educational psychologist etc
  • A character reference by a person (not related) who has known the student over time
  • Birth certificate
  • If born overseas, your child’s Permanent Residency or citizenship papers
  • Any family court or parenting papers
  • Completed Statement of Financial Position – linked in the application form

Please note: All applicants are required to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident and incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Applicants may also be considered for the Arch Campbell Memorial Scholarship, and need only submit one application.
