‘One decision can change your life’ was the key message delivered to our Year 11s this week by former U.S. Navy SEAL and leadership consultant, Chandler Comerford.

During his talk, Mr Comerford discussed the importance of making conscious decisions in life and identified three truths that supported this process.

  • Truth 1 – The choices you make are never made in isolation; the effect always impacts others.
  • Truth 2 – When you are young the ‘rewards’ for risky behaviour outweigh the consequences.
  • Truth 3 – You are always choosing – even when you say and do nothing.

Organised by the Wynne Centre for Boys’ Health and Wellbeing Mr Comerford’s speech helped to support the boys’ learning inside the classroom.

“Mr Comerford’s talk on the topic of encouraging students to make informed choices, striving to be the best version of themselves and supporting others aligns with our proactive and preventative approach to wellbeing,” said Director of the Wynne Centre Liam Casson.
