Last weekend, our current Cross Country team faced off against our old boys in the annual Cross Country time trial. The 5km track took runners on a hill-filled course around the Mt Claremont Playing Fields, taking in the games against Trinity as they ran. Jonah Hanikeri (Year 11) took out the top spot with Jack Crago (’22) coming a close second for the old boys.

The weather was stunning for the event and there was a great turnout with representation from, amongst others, Robert Merrells (’67) and father/son duo Chris Shenton (’83) and Tom Shenton (’12). Chris Shenton celebrated 40 years since winning the PSA Cross Country flag in 1983 (pictured).

This is a unique event on the calendar with a rare chance for old boys to face off and measure up against current students. There were a few personal bests hit and a lot of progress but most of all, a lot of fun was had.
