The beautiful bushlands of Kings Park filled with colour last Friday as over 600 boys ran cross country for their House.

The 5km run starting at May Drive Parkland, took the boys along the winding path of Lovekin Drive, over muddy puddles, through bush tracks and back to the Parkland for an exciting finish.

Final House placings saw Romsey and Wolsey in equal 1stplace followed closely by Hill in 3rd, then Queenslea, Noake, Jupp, Moyes and Craigie.

“This run through the hilly, soft tracks of Kings Park is a challenging course which gives the boys an opportunity to extend themselves and run the best they can for their House,” said Assistant Director of Sport, Mr Daniel Cadby.

“I would like to congratulate all boys who completed the race and give special mention to our 1st place runners Jonah Hanikeri (Year 7) in 21:20 , Joshua Neervoort (Year 8) in 19:31, Joshua Fowler (Year 9) in 19:04 and the Year 10 to 12 winner, Jes Bromley who completed the course in 17:57.”
