Yesterday our Year 12 Geography students visited sites along the Canning River to test water quality as a part of their fieldwork in the ATAR course.

A special focus was the Living Streams program, whereby urban drain systems are turned into streams mimicking natural aquatic ecosystems.

“It was really cool to get out and see how environmental programs like this can have a positive impact on places”, commented student Ben Howe.

Geography teacher Jon Wyllie said the students got a lot out of the day, adding “there is nothing better than getting out in the field and observing local environments and how they are changing over time.”
