There was a lot of excitement over the weekend as Year 7 day boys swapped their usual after school Friday pick up for a sleepover at our newly renovated Walters boarding house. The boarders and their chosen sleepover buddies shared communal barbecue dinner with all boarders from other Year groups before heading to Bounce for an evening of fun. After burning all their energy, the students returned exhausted and with big smiles before getting ready for lights out.

The following morning, they enjoyed a hot breakfast cook up in Sandover before and some cricket batting practice on the oval (with some help from Mr Molinari’s toddler who was keen to get involved!) before saying their goodbyes and heading off to sport and other co-curricular commitments.

These overnight stays are a great opportunity for our boarders to offer their peers a glimpse into their home away from home and to celebrate our tight knit residential community. Next weekend will see the sleepover swap, with Year 7 boarders staying overnight at their about the day friends’ house, while Year 8 boarders will invite their friends to the boarding house to begin their sleepover swaps.
