The Trevor Badger Memorial Scholarship

Applications for 2024 have now closed.

This scholarship is established in memory of old boy Trevor Badger (’83), who was a proud wheat and sheep farmer from ‘Nanda Downs’ at Pingrup in the Great Southern. During his time at Christ Church, Trevor was a boarder from 1979 to 1983, McClemans House (now called Knutsford House) Boarding Captain, Captain of the two-time Peter Moyes cup-winning Cross Country teams of 1982 and 1983 and Captain of Boats in his graduating year.

Boarders have been a vital part of our school for more than a century with regional students contributing to the diversity of the cohort. In this home away from home, students develop independence and contribute to an environment where life-long friendships are formed. The purpose of this scholarship is to relieve some of the financial responsibility for boarding fees and ensure that our spirit of community giving lives on in Trevor’s name.

This scholarship supports 50% of boarding fees and is open to students entering Year 7 in 2025.

This scholarship is open to Australian students from a regional or rural background who face geographic or financial barriers to a Christ Church Education. While subject to annual review, this scholarship is tenable for the duration of the student’s education as a boarding student at Christ Church Grammar School. Applicants are considered on their ability to benefit from a Christ Church education.
