Prep boys claim third place in chess tournament

Craigie retains Akos Kovac Shield
Over 1100 Senior School boys competed in the 2017 House Athletics Carnival held at the WA Athletics Stadium last Thursday. The carnival saw Craigie House retain the Akos Kovac Shield for the second year in a row with 1993 points. read more

Christ Church boys ride the waves to finals
Eight Christ Church surfers are off to compete in the State Final of the WA Schools Titles being held this Friday following recent success in the Metro Zone 4 competition of the WA Schools Surfing Titles held at Trigg Beach. Cadets navigate their way to success
Between 12 to 14 August our Army Cadet Unit (ACU) were deployed to Bindoon Military Training Area to carry out their Term 3 field exercise. The exercise provided cadets with the opportunity to reinforce useful skills in fieldcraft, navigation and teamwork. read more
ENCOMM boys plant for the future

It is National Science Week (12 to 20 August) and this year’s theme is Future Earth, focussed around Australia’s sustainability science. Held during mid-August each year, National Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology where thousands of individuals from students to scientists get involved. read more

The impact of the digital age on children
Over 550 school community members filled the Chapel on Monday evening for the award-winning documentary Screenagers, a documentary that successfully explores the impact of the digital age on children and how families can help minimise harmful effects as they strive for that important balance. read more

Incredible talent showcased at the State Theatre Centre
Over 2000 attendees were drawn to the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia between 3 to 5 August to witness the impressively colourful production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, retelling the Biblical story of ‘Joseph’, his 11 brothers and the coat of many colours in a magical musical full of unforgettable songs. read more

Prep School boys from Years 3 to 6 recently took part in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC), taking on a series problem solving challenges designed to put their mathematical thinking to the test. read more
Year 6 boys get a taste for what’s coming up

The School has embraced NAIDOC Week celebrations this week with a range of activities for all to participate. Christ Church Army Cadets claim top ranks
During the first week of the holidays, 10 Christ Church Army Cadets and three cadet instructors participated in the Western Australian Army Cadet Brigade Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Course. The march-out parade took place with 75 cadets completing the course. read more
